Support for children through their natural language
Therapeutic play is a therapeutic approach which supports children to explore difficult or challenging emotions in a safe and supportive environment.
Unlike talking therapies, such as counselling or CBT which require children to have the language to verbally explain how they are feeling, therapeutic play allows children to express and process thier emotions and experiences in a language which is natural and developmentally appropriate.
Therapeutic play can be accessed to support children with a wide range of issues, such as struggling to cope with emotions, dealing with loss or separation, processing life changes or transitions; as well as supporting children with different neurodiverse needs, such as autism or ADHD.
